Coming off a strong finish at devils bowl speedway, the 97 team hoped to repeat that success at airborne. A
track that has been good to the team in the past. The day started off great with Joey setting fast time in second practice. When
Joey went to scuff race tires in the final practice, the fuel pump let go forcing the team to fix it before the heat race.

Joey started 3rd in his heat and made it to 2nd earning a +1 for the feature.

JOEY, WHAT ARE YOUR CHANCES TO GET A WIN TONIGHT?: "Well, the car was great on our practice tires, but we never
really got a chance to scuff our race set. We will see how the tires react during a long run, but I think we have a good car."

Starting from the 10th position, Joey dropped back a couple spots and was caught in traffic for the first quarter of the race.
Once clear of traffic, he was able to work into the top ten and challenge for a top 5. When the checkered flag fell Joey finished
in the 6th spot. Another solid top ten.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE RACE?
"Definitely not a bad day, but we thought we had a car to compete for the win. We could just never get the car back to how it
felt in practice. The car was just way to tight off the corners. We will try and get it better for groveton.

Joeys next race will be this Saturday may 25th at White Mountain Motorsports Park in N. Woodstock, NH for the PASS 150. Post
time is 4:00
Another Solid Finish For Joey Pole At Airborne
(June 15, 2013) - After being rained out last week, the Joey pole racing team looked to have a strong run at
Canaan fair speedway. Joey has had success there in the past and was looking for his first win of the
season.

After practice, Joey said the car felt very comfortable and really gets good on a longer run.

Starting on the pole, in his heat, Joey was able to take the lead and win the 15 lap heat, earning him the
11th starting position for the 150 lap main event.

Knowing he had to save his tires, Joey ran inside the top ten most of the race until he finally cracked the top
five with about 50 laps to go. He then started to make his move towards the front on the outside getting to
the second spot with about 30 to go. That's when the final cation flew with 19 to go. Joey used that restart to
get ahead of reigning champion Wayne Helliwell Jr to clinch the win. His first tour win since October 2011.

HOW'S IT FEEL TO FINALLY GET BACK TO VICTORY LANE?
"It really feels great. We've tried real hard to get back here, but things haven't gone our way recently. But
tonight everything went our way. We kind of saved our stuff for awhile and went for it hard at the end. Just a
great night."
